MOVEMENT, GROUNDING, FREEDOM & CONNECTION
Lynkorr is a movement research approach created by Tofic Anton through decades of Argentine tango practice, teaching, observation and experimentation, exploring grounding, gravity, breathing, organisation, freedom of movement, expression and partner connection. Study Lynkorr through introductory workshops or ongoing monthly intensive training in closed groups. All workshops are by application and acceptance, for dancers seeking this approach. Visit Workshops to explore the two paths and Contact to apply.
What is Lynkorr?
Lynkorr is a research into how human movement organizes itself through the relationship with the ground. Developed through more than two decades of Argentine tango practice, teaching and experimentation, it examines how gravity, weight, breathing, the standing leg and resistance shape movement, connection and expression.
Although its research emerged through Argentine tango, Lynkorr is not limited to dance technique. It uses movement as a way to investigate larger questions of freedom, adaptation, relationship, resistance and choice — how a person can remain grounded and independent while continuously organizing with another.
Core Principles
The architectural framework of Lynkorr, developed through decades of Argentine tango practice and movement research.
Ground & Gravity
Movement begins by receiving support from the ground rather than imposing movement from above. Gravity becomes something to organize with, not something to resist.
Resistance & Freedom
Freedom does not come from eliminating muscular activity, but from reducing resistance that interferes with movement. The body can remain active, expressive and organized without fighting the direction of movement.
The Standing Leg
The standing leg is the central point of organization. Through it, the body receives weight, connects with the ground and redirects movement without needing to initiate from the upper body.
Connection & Autonomy
Connection does not require one person to carry or control the other. Lynkorr explores how two people can remain grounded and autonomous while continuously adapting, communicating and organizing together.
Breathing & Organization
Breathing helps organize the body without forcing it. It can connect the center to the back, support release toward the standing leg and allow movement to travel through the body with less resistance.

BEYOND TANGO
Lynkorr began inside Argentine tango, but the questions it uncovered extend beyond dance. How can we stay ourselves while deeply connected to another person? When does support become dependence? How do memory, resistance and previous choices shape what becomes possible next? Movement becomes a way to observe these questions in the body rather than only discuss them as ideas.
The Lynkorr Project
The Lynkorr Project brings together more than two decades of movement research developed through Argentine tango. It examines the relationship between the body and the ground, weight, breathing, resistance, timing, adaptation and partner interaction, then follows these discoveries into wider questions of freedom, relationship, choice and human organization.
The first published work, The Lynkorr Project: A Master Architecture of Movement, Relationship, and Organization, presents this research as both a movement investigation and a wider exploration of how we organize ourselves alone and with others.
